Late Night Friends formed sometime around Christmas 2013 when Jonathan Baron and Barrett Shuler awkwardly started constructing rock and roll songs in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA. At first, Shuler didn't appreciate Baron's affinity for 60's psychedelia and 70's punk and in retaliation, Baron smugly dismissed Shuler's enthusiasm for obscure instrumental bands [and Jeff Tweedy] . The two quickly buried the hatchet over a shared love for several 90's bands and have cohabitated politely since. Mutual friend and drummer Keith Roenke always joked that they should start a band because "the marriage of their styles would either work really well or not at all." LNF was thoroughly shaped up with Shuler's former [Coral Springs, FL] Little League teammate Alex Gallner on bass.

Late Night Friends' entered The Wiggle Room at XEMU HQ in late 2014 under the tutelage of Steve Kille (of Dead Meadow) to record their debut LP, What I Think I'm Not. The 9-song, melodic, dual-singer melting pot was Mixed by Mike Pappas and Mastered by Dan Coutant (The Gaslight Anthem, Jawbox, Denney and The Jets) at Sun Room Audio.

Late Night Friends aren't your prototypical sunny side-up LA indie-rock band. What I Think I'm Not's formula is worldly, with echoes of British Shoegaze ("We Are OK"), jagged 90s alt-rock ("All to Myself"), and even a bi-polar fuck-you ode ("Lying in My Bed") all in toe -- heady, honest and beautiful for a debut record.

What I Think I'm Not will be released on July 21st, 2015 on limited edition Vinyl, CD and Digital by Miami, FL's Limited Fanfare Records (Denney and The Jets, sound sleeper, The Ettes, Ex Norwegian) with distribution via Cobraside Distribution.
